- Felipe357, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil“LOVED IT!” 5/5
This hostel was AMAZING! The atmosphere was great! The location could not be better! There are 2 tube lines very near and they are served by the most important lines in London (Piccadilly, Circle and District!). They have special key cards for rooms and entrance, so very safe. Their cinema room is amazing and very comfortable! Their staff is AWESOME! I had more contact with Jax, Canadian Laura and Manuel! Always there to answer my doubts and to chat!Really recommend!!!
- Itsamrkhaled, Toulouse, France“The perfect hostel for the perfect city” 5/5
Really great team working there. There was no particular problem but anyway the team was always there to help us. We had 3 rooms in a 10- beds room but it was great. A reception, a kitchen and a lounge are there for you 24h. You can even have a breakfast for £1. We tried it and it was so good. I would strongly recommend this place for everyone and if I come back soon, I will go there surely.
- Emma S, Edmonton, Canada“Great bang for your buck” 4/5
This is a great option if you want to do London on the ‘cheap’. They’ve got great storage facilities and friendly enough staff. It’s also clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is superb! It’s a quick jaunt to Hyde Park, the metro line and the Natural History Museum. There is also a Tesco express (supermarket) nearby (by Gloucester station) for those looking to self-cater.
- Holly W, Canberra, Australia“Absolutely amazing – 100% recommend” 5/5
I stayed here in August with a friend in a 5 bed mixed dorm, beds were very comfortable and room were nice and clean. The best part was that the staff were so friendly – they organise an activity every night and make you feel very included. Everyone is open to meeting new people and to have a good time. I would definitely go back here in a heartbeat.
- Endarf, London, United Kingdom“Top!!!!!” 5/5
I was travelling and living in different hostels, Astor Museum is the best so far!!! The staff is really welcoming and helpful, Wi-Fi work in all the building, and the charity breakfast is the cherry on top of the cake!
- Jordan W, Vancouver, Canada“Perfect way to start off my trip” 5/5
This is an excellent hostel! The staff are very friendly and the rooms are quite spacious and all you need, really. We were in the annex building which was just a few blocks down the street, but it wasn’t a big deal. Nice neighbourhood, close to the Tube station Holborn, and very central. Breakfast was only £1 (or more by donation), which was great and you got all you need.
- Jujames12, Florence, Italy“Great location and friendly staff” 4/5
My boyfriend and I loved our stay! It is located right by the British Museum and is a short walk to a metro station. We loved being able to walk to the Soho and Covent garden area. Also the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had to print and scan some paperwork for back home and they made sure to help us. Medo is the man!
- Audrey O,“Super!” 5/5
Don’t bother looking for another hostel, this is the best in town!! It is super nice, just next to the British Museum (if you wanna be closer you’ll have to sleep into Cleopatra’s sarcophagus ;) next to underground and bus stops. The staff is super cool and welcoming (Medo is always here to put a smile on your face ;). If you need anything they’ll help you. The hostel organises great events (pub crawls, live music in pub, tours…). Breakfast + hot water! I highly recommend it and I’ll be back for sure!
- Evelyn T,“A good place for solo travellers” 5/5
The hostel is easy to find and about 5 mins walk to the tube and close to the main street. Staff- really friendly! Rooms – decent and clean, breakfast just for £1 (and that goes to charity!) and they have really fun activities in the night for people to meet. I had a good time and will definitely recommend this place to future travellers! Room tip: There isn’t a lift but the staff will help you carry your things up the steps.
- Elisabeth S, London, United Kingdom“Excellent Staff and Free Borrowings!” 5/5
I loved the atmosphere in this hostel; it was so warm and homey and it had everything you need and more! One of my favourite aspects was how they loaned out things like hair dryers and straighteners (a really good one too might I add) for free! The staff were spectacular and helped bring my luggage upstairs to my room. I literally stayed here on a whim (booked 1 hour before I arrived) and it was definitely a good choice. I would recommend this hostel to everyone!
- Annabel P,“Amazing” 5/5
Would recommend to every solo traveller! So much fun and everyone who works here is lovely! I had the best time in this hostel, made some awesome new friends and the location is great for transport and Hyde Park! I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in London!!
- Brother1980, London“What a fun friendly non-commercial family run business” 5/5
If you want to share London with your age group, make new friends and have a blast come to London via these types of places. Simple but friendly, what more you want? London is amazing and this was perfect!
- Premika_sk,“Lovely stay!” 5/5
My second home in London. The hostel is perfectly located, 5-minute walk from Pimlico underground station and 10 minutes from Victoria station. The staff were so friendly, helpful and absolutely amazing. The rooms, toilets and shower rooms were impressively clean. Most definitely staying here again the next time I visit London. Go Astor!!!!
- Silly995, Winnipeg, Canada“Neat little spot” 4/5
Our room was clean and well kept. Breakfast was decent, kept us full for the morning. Great location. Felt safe while staying here, and was able to lock our belongings under the bed. The staff were friendly; the hostel was a very social place, great for meeting other travellers. I would definitely stay here again.
- Kamila Z, Bratislava, Slovakia“Perfect stay in the centre” 5/5
It was two of us travelling – spending one night only, but hostel was amazing. Perfect value for money we paid, friendly staff, perfect location considering 10 minutes (walking) from Buckingham Palace etc. Hostel was cosy, clean and they have everyday activities! Thank you guys ☺
- Sonia L, Hong Kong, ChinaGreat, clean hostel
Nice hostel at central London, with easy access to transport. Great, accommodating staff, and very clean for a hostel! At good prices too. I was in a six bunk girls’ bedroom, neither a shared toilet, and was a comfortable stay! Recommended for backpack/budget travel!
