24h reception – you can check-in at any time after 3 pm and drop luggage free of charge on arrival. Â
The luggage Room (on the day of your check-out) – is £2.50 per day and £7.50 for every additional day.
Towels – £3.50
Breakfast is £3.50 and 3 for £9, and it is served from 8 to 10 am (all hostels)
Cancellation policy: You can cancel free of charge 72h hours before arrival to the hostel for bookings made under Free Cancellation/Fully Flexible Terms and Conditions. Non-Refundable bookings can not be cancelled. Â
We work with several OTAs (online travel agents) like booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, etc. We recommend you read your booking confirmation to understand what terms and conditions apply to your reservation.Â
Is there any age policy for staying at the hostel?
Yes, there is an age policy; you must be between 18 and 40 to stay in shared dorms.The property can only accommodate guests over 18 in shared dorms. Minors from 8 to 17 years old are accepted if accompanied by a parent/guardian. However, they must book an entire private dorm as they cannot share rooms with other guests outside their party.
Can I have a bottom bunk?
You will be assigned a bunk on the day of your arrival so whilst we will do our best if you ask, we cannot guarantee it.
Are there laundry facilities available, and if so how much do they cost?
There are laundry facilities available, and the cost is £4 per wash and £1 per dry.  We also have detergent for sale at the Front desk.
Is the linen provided?
Yes linen is provided, and unlike some properties your bed will be made for you on arrival.
Do you have lockers available to store valuables?
Yes we have lockers available in reception (£2/day) for you to use with a padlock.
Is it safe to stay with a laptop or camera?
It is safe to stay with these valuables, though we recommend locking them in one of our lockers at reception.
Can I borrow a hairdryer?
Yes you can and at no extra cost!
Can we use your hostel to receive mail/packages?
You can have mail or packages delivered to the hostel, but please notify the Reception in advance if you wish to do so.
Can I use the facilities/showers before I check in or after I check out?
You may use the facilities the day of your arrival or departure. For en-suite bookings showers are only available once you have checked in.

How can I pay for my reservation?
You can pay with a debit/credit card or cash.
Be aware that we don’t accept AMEX (American Express)

What happens if I want to cancel/amend my booking?
To change or cancel your booking just call us or drop us an e-mail, contact details are found in the contact us section
Why do you need my credit card details to book?
We always require a credit or debit card to secure the booking, in case you don’t show up.
Can I still book a room without a credit card?
You must provide a valid credit or debit card to book a bed with us.
Can I pay for my room using cash?
Yes, you can pay cash at check-in. However, you’ll need a valid debit or credit card to guarantee your booking.
Can I pay for my booking in advance?
Yes of course, you just need to call the hostel and you can pay by credit/debit card.
Can I pay for my stay with a different card used to make the booking?
You can use any Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or Union Pay to pay on arrival, or in Cash if you prefer.
I didn’t receive a confirmation e-mail, what should I do?
Don’t worry.  Just call or e-mail the hostel with your full name and they will find your booking.
Is it possible to make a booking for a large group?
Of course, just get in touch with our Group department at groupbookings@astorhostels.com
If I book for more than one person, are we sure to be in the same room?
We always try to put you in the same room, but because you are booking beds we cannot guarantee it.
What’s the difference between a double and a twin?
A double has one bed that is a double in size. Â A twin is two separate beds, either a bunk or two singles.
What’s the maximum length I can book at the hostel?
The maximum length you can book for is 14 nights. There are certain rooms in the hostel which can be booked for longer stays, these book out quickly so we recommend booking well in advance.Â
Do you provide confirmation emails for embassies?
We do not provide confirmation e-mails to embassies.

How do I cancel my booking, and will I get charged if I do?
If you have booked a free cancellation rate plan, you must give 72h notice to cancel your reservation and there will be no charge. If you booked an advanced purchase/non refundable you cannot cancel the reservation and will be charged the full amount.
Can we share a bed?
Each person wishing to stay at the hostel must book their own bed. Â However, if you wish to share with somebody that is up to you!

Is there a bus connection from the airport?
There are buses from every major airport into London, for information on these go to nationalexpress.com or easybus.com.
How do I get from the hostel to the airport and vice versa?
Have a look at our Location pages under each hostel for info on how to get to and from the airport.
What time can I check in and check out?
Check-out is until 10 am (a drop-off box is available for earlier check-outs), and check-in is from 3 pm. Early check-in is available for a fee from 2 pm. Please check with the reception staff on arrival.
What do I need to check in with?
To check in you must have Valid Government ID in the form of Passport, Driving License or for European Citizens an Identity Card.
If I arrive early is there somewhere I can store my bags?
Yes we have free storage where you are more than welcome to store your bags for free on the day of your arrival. On the day of departure, the luggage room is £2.50 per bag (£7.50 per bag for everyday thereafter).
Can I use kitchen facilities and store food?
You may use the kitchen facilities to cook, and there are fridges and cupboards to store your food too. (Please note due to Covid restrictions certain facilities are closed including our kitchens).
What shops and restaurants can I find around the hostel?
There are lots of pubs, restaurants and takeaways around all of our properties. Â Ask the reception for tips and discounts at local businesses!
Do you provide breakfast, and if so how much is it?
We provide Breakfast, every morning  (milk, almond/soy milk, fruit juice, bread, jam, butter, biscuits, Nutella, cereals) it costs just £3.50 and 3 for £9.
Do you sell any food or drink?
There is a vending machine in the corridor selling light snacks (water, soft drinks, chocolate bars and crisps) but we don’t have hot food.
Can I bring my own alcohol to the hostel?
You are allowed to bring your own food and alcohol into the hostel, though we recommend to drink responsibly!
Is there anything going on within the hostel during my stay?
We organise events most days of the week. For more information, please as at the reception. If there is no event at the hostel on a specific day, then we will have all the info you need on what is going on in beautiful London!
Do you organize any tours?
There are free tours running, our receptionists will be able to give you more details.
What time can I come back to the hostel in the evening?
There is no curfew, you may return to the hostel at any time you like.

Can I bring friends into the hostel?
You may bring a friend or relative into the hostel, but they must sign in with Reception and they cannot stay the night without booking a bed.
