Sunday, 27th August:

Bright and Early with J’Ouvert 🌅

Starting from 06.00 to 09.00 at Sainsbury’s Ladbroke Grove, W10 6HJ, you’ll witness the traditional J’Ouvert celebration. The name J’Ouvert comes from the French term’ Jour ouvert’, translating to the ‘opening of the day’. As the sun begins to rise, the streets of Notting Hill come alive with ecstatic revellers celebrating the dawn of Carnival. Be ready to get messy with vibrant paints and powders!

Official Opening Ceremony 🎉

From 10.00 to 10.30 at the MAS Judging Point on Great Western Road, immerse yourself in the traditions of Carnival as it is opened by local residents, participants, organisers, and supporters of the Carnival.

Children’s Day Parade 🎈

This year, Sunday is all about the kids. From tiny tots to enthusiastic teens, watch the streets overflow with joy as the young ones parade in their magnificent costumes. It’s heartwarming to see the next generation embrace and champion the Carnival spirit.

Dutty/Fun Mas 💃

Feeling a bit daring? Jump into the Dutty/Fun Mas parade. Expect a wild time with splashes of paints, powders, and even melted chocolate! The music from the ‘mile-high’ mobile speakers will keep you moving non-stop.

Sound Systems & Live Stages 🎶

From 12.00 to 19.00, music aficionados can groove to a variety of tunes. Notting Hill Carnival is renowned for its Sound Systems – a tribute to Jamaican culture and Reggae music. Whether you’re into Rare Groove, House, or Samba, there’s something for everyone.

And if you’re searching for live performances, head to Soca City at Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park, W10 5DH or Powis Square Stage at Powis Square, W11 2AY.

Monday, 28th August:

Adult’s Parade 🎊

The grand finale! This Parade is the epitome of carnival vibes, with dazzling costumes, infectious rhythms, and pure joy. Even if you’re not in a band costume, join in with your personal style and become a part of the celebration.

Sound Systems & Live Stages – Round 2 🎧

The music doesn’t stop! Again, from 12:00 to 19:00, dive into the Sound Systems or shake a leg at the Soca City Stage and Powis Square Stage.
