6 Things to do on a cheap night out in London
Let’s not kid ourselves; an exciting night out isn’t always cheap especially when you are in The Big Smoke. So what do you do when you are in London, on a budget, and don’t want to compromise on night-life? Here are just a few ideas to get your night started.
1. Happy Hour
Start your night in one of the many bars and pubs in London. Whether it be in the busy Convent Garden area, in Soho, or conveniently located near your favourite Astor location, there are heaps of places offering you a cheap start. Check out a homely local, or a well-established chain such as All Bar One or Weatherspoons for some great deals.

2. Clubbing
Whether you are up for an all-nighter or just a good night out on the dance floor you will find that there will be a club open for you every night of the week with many of them offering free or cheaper early entry, some even include a free drink on arrival.
3. Live Music
London is a great city to catch some live music with many bars and pubs offering great gigs and live music throughout the week. If you know you want music but don’t know anyone playing head into Camden in the city’s North – there you will find an abundance of great live music to enjoy.

4. Sightseeing
London is beautiful and bustling with life during the day, but there is something magical about the brightly lit buildings and rows of street lights. Save some of your sightseeing, or make a second trip and see some of your favourite places lit up. Take a walk down the Thames in the evening and see Tower Bridge, Embankment, and the London Eye illuminated with twinkling lights.
5. Musicals & Theatre
Jump online and see if you can score some cheap tickets to a great musical or show. You’ll be surprised by some of the savings. It’s a great way to see some of the best entertainment and talent London has to offer while still staying warm and cosy inside. Perfect for those traditionally English rainy evenings.
If musicals aren’t your cup-of-tea try a Shakespearean play at the Globe Theatre with tickets as low as £5.
