One of the highlights of London’s cold December is the city at its most beautiful due to the many Christmas lights that line its streets. The plethora of lights around the capital continue to grow in numbers and uniqueness each and every year, and 2017 is no different.

OXFORD STREET

For the 58th year in a row, the famous shopping strip that is Oxford Street is lit up and as beautiful as ever. Following the November 7th switch on, Oxford Street’s nights have been illuminated by some 750,000 LED lights, pleasing millions of patrons in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

CARNABY STREET

Some of the most unique and colourful lights in London can be found in the hip Carnaby Street. On until the 5th of January, the Carnaby lights can’t be missed. A cool area for travellers and locals alike, Carnaby Street at night should definitely be top of the list for those in London this festive season.

SEVEN DIALS

Whether you’re in the area to do some shopping, see a show, or just a general muse, the Seven Dials provides a different take on the usual views of Christmas lights. ST. JAMES MARKET (SOHO)

Whether you’re looking to do some Christmas shopping at the market or just to take in some of the lights, St. James market is a nice, quaint place to do both. Situated in the ever-happening Soho, you can also take in a meal or a drink and make a night of it.
