Eat in the street
Sick of hearing how terrible London’s food is? (C’mon we know people say it) Well we are… and we are here to prove to you that it isn’t so bad (in fact it’s great).
This summer London is host to some great food festivals that hide among its winding streets which have been rated both by our staff – here at Astor Queensway and by Londons highest critics like Time Out and the Metro.
162-175 SHOREDITCH HIGH STREET, SHOREDITCH, E1 6HU
First up we’ll start with Shoreditch’s Urban Street Fest which has been running for a few months and ends in two days (5th of July) with a free entry 5-midnight food party extravaganza. They serve everything from Korean food, British to American and even have a veggie corner serving veggie tofu hotdog & sauerkraut; vegan no-cheese pizza, imitation beef jerky and more that we can’t list!!
REGENT STREET 13TH JULY
Regent Streets Love London is not to miss. Its aim is to promote the international diversity and creativity of London’s food scene.
The whole of Regent Street will be closed for one day to showcase the best of what London has to offer, from the hottest street food vendors, independent restaurants, craft beers and drinks, all on one of London’s most prestigious, central locations.
The day will include entertainment, music, and outdoor arts.
DALSTON YARD – HARTWELL STREET, E8 3DU
Running for 20 weekends every Friday and Saturday from 16th May to 27th September
This Street Feast is a great way to discover East London! Every Friday and Saturday it brings together London’s best street food traders and serves amazingly delicious giant-sized cocktails, craft beers and tasty wines hidden among the old buildings of East London.
Since launching in 2012 the feast festival has transformed car parks, breweries, warehouses, old tube stations, and builder’s merchants to change our experience of eating, drinking and hanging out in London.
